Francesco Leone
Mr. Leone focuses on working with businesses at critical moments. He has 30+ years of experience in advisory and interim roles in operational turnaround, strategic planning, and performance improvement engagements, blending management consulting and managerial expertise to drive operational improvements and crisis recovery plans. He has served in interim executive and managerial roles, including as Chief Transformation Officer (CTO).
Mr. Leone’s experience includes leading the design and execution of large turnaround programs, cost rationalization, organization optimization, liquidity management, and cash flow improvements for large international corporations, mid-market firms, and financial shareholders, mainly in industrial goods and consumer products.
Mr. Leone’s notable engagements include serving as Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) in the restructuring process for a leading integrated player in the paper industry, designing and executing the turnaround program for the powertrain division of a global automotive Tier 1 supplier, leading the turnaround plan design and implementation for a global manufacturer of industrial tires, acting as CRO and board member in the operational turnaround of a leading Italian apparel company (multibrand, multiline, multichannel), and leading the turnaround plan preparation for a global luxury sailboat manufacturer (plan, cash need, motorboat launch). His credentials include the broader fashion and luxury business space (the Kering Group, Moncler’s sportswear brands, and Ferragamo), and the luxury yacht space (the Ferretti Group and Nautor Swan).
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Leone was Italy Country Head for FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring team. Before that, he was Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in the Milan office and Head of the BCG TURN practice for Italy, Greece, Turkey, and Israel. He was also Managing Director at AlixPartners in Italy.
Mr. Leone earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and international business from Bocconi University and an Executive MBA from the University of Michigan.
