Mr. Harrower has over 18 years of restructuring experience advising lenders and management teams linked to stressed and distressed businesses. He focuses on complex transactions in the UK and overseas, specializing in financial restructuring engagements including short-term cash evaluation, business plan review/preparation, options analysis, and transaction implementation. He has worked with listed and privately owned businesses across a range of sectors to preserve value for involved stakeholders.

Mr. Harrower’s notable engagements include advising lenders to a UK-headquartered international retail chain with £1.2 billion in revenue, which involved a business plan review and options assessment. The engagement resulted in the divestment of a stake in the group to a third-party investor and recapitalization of the business. 

Mr. Harrower has also advised the board of a Dutch shipbuilder to formulate a financial restructuring proposal and support lender negotiations and implementation. Through an M&A process and the agreed lender deal terms, the company secured additional liquidity from both proceeds and ongoing access to bank facilities. His other engagement experience spans a range of sectors, including infrastructure, oil and gas, logistics, automotive, healthcare, retail, property, and financial services. 

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Harrower spent eight years in the financial restructuring team at KPMG. He also previously worked in EY’s restructuring team. In addition, Mr. Harrower has lending experience, having worked as an investment manager at a debt-focused fund and completed a secondment to the workout team at Investec. 

Mr. Harrower is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) Charterholder and a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
