Arnie McClellan
Mr. McClellan delivers pragmatic tax expertise alongside proactive deal execution to enhance transaction efficiency and value realization. By driving alignment between client and advisor deal teams, he identifies tax opportunities and risks to provide tax modeling that supports high-stakes negotiations and informs value-driven decisions. Mr. McClellan specializes in tax structuring, due diligence, and execution for deals ranging from $5 million to $5 billon in enterprise value. He brings significant expertise in platforms, add-ons, foreign targets, internal restructurings, and divestitures.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. McClellan was a Partner with Moss Adams LLP (recently merged into Baker Tilly). In this role, he led the M&A Tax practice and supported many of the firm’s major private equity clients. In addition, he previously served as Regional Managing Partner for Deloitte’s M&A Transaction Services practice in Northern California and worked as an International Tax Partner for Deloitte in London.
Mr. McClellan earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from Georgia State University. He is Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed in California. A dedicated community leader, Mr. McClellan has been an active board member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco for over 19 years, leading implementation of innovative financing strategies for major clubhouse developments and renovations.
