Caio Santos
Mr. Santos has advised companies across a wide range of industries, including retail, healthcare, financial services, infrastructure, agribusiness, automotive, and oil and gas.
Among his notable engagements, Mr. Santos led relevant judicial reorganization processes in Brazil, including a large-scale supermarket chain with a complex debt structure, within the context of a foreign shareholders’ exit strategy, as well as one of Brazil’s leading agricultural input distribution platforms, widely recognized as the largest agribusiness restructuring case in the country.
Previously, Mr. Santos joined A&M’s headquarters in the US to assist oil and gas companies following the sharp decline in oil prices. He was responsible for monitoring cash liquidity in preparation for Chapter 11 proceedings and for assisting with disclosure statement–related matters.
Prior to joining A&M, he worked at a Brazilian private equity firm, where he supported the shareholders in the divestment of a portfolio company. He began his career at ABN AMRO Bank, working on retail strategy initiatives.
Mr. Santos earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP) in São Paulo. He is fluent in Portuguese and English.
