Said Hobeika
Mr. Hobeika specializes in operational excellence, health, safety, and environment (HSE), process safety management (PSM), and operational risk management across the oil and gas, chemicals, steel, mining, utilities, and broader industrial sectors. His work focuses on management system design, operational discipline, culture transformation, regulatory effectiveness, and operating model improvement for government and industrial clients.
With more than 15 years of experience, Mr. Hobeika has led complex transformation programs that delivered substantial improvements in safety performance, operational reliability, and compliance. His notable assignments include large-scale HSE and PSM transformations, achieving a reduction of more than 75% in process safety incidents, as well as significant gains in preventive maintenance and injury performance. He has supported a national department of energy on governance and regulatory alignment and developed stakeholder engagement plans and investment business cases for new environmental regulations within a major energy industrial program. Mr. Hobeika also notably developed enterprise-wide HSE and business continuity frameworks and a risk-based operating model for an $80 billion regional energy investment platform.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Hobeika worked with PwC in the Middle East, where he led sustainability, ESG, and industrial strategy programs. Previously, he served as a Principal with DuPont Sustainable Solutions (dss+), leading more than 15 operational excellence, HSE, and PSM transformations. Earlier in his career, Mr. Hobeika worked with Booz & Company, where he supported energy and industrial organizations with operating model reform, regulatory restructuring, and strategy development.
Mr. Hobeika earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the American University of Beirut (AUB) and a master’s degree in renewable energy science and technology from École Polytechnique in Paris. He speaks English, French, and Arabic.
