Adam Terry is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement in Atlanta. He is a member of the Commercial and Operations Services group.

Mr. Terry specializes in performance improvement, cost reduction, supply chain optimization, and business transformation. With more than 25 years of experience, he has led large-scale operational and process transformation initiatives for global organizations across diverse industries, including transportation, oil and gas, retail and consumer goods, heavy industrials, and healthcare.

Mr. Terry advises private equity sponsors and senior executives at both healthy and distressed organizations, providing a full spectrum of services from rapid operational due diligence and EBITDA improvement to long-term enterprise transformation. He is recognized for his ability to translate business strategy into actionable operational plans and drive sustainable performance through operational excellence initiatives. His expertise spans a wide range of performance improvement areas, including manufacturing and distribution network optimization, simulation modeling, nearshoring and reshoring strategies, supply chain risk management, transportation and lead time optimization, organizational design and workforce planning, inventory and working capital management, and customer and product profitability analysis.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Terry spent 16 years with FTI Consulting, where he advised corporate clients and private equity portfolio companies on operational due diligence, cost reduction, and enterprise transformation. Before that, he held roles of increasing responsibility at United Parcel Service, served as Distribution Center Manager for BMK, Inc., and was General Manager at Wickes Furniture, where he developed deep expertise in distribution and logistics. Mr. Terry’s notable previous assignments include: designing a multi-echelon network optimization model for a $3.5 billion beauty supply retailer, which delivered $18.8 million in annual savings and a 24% return on invested capital; and identifying approximately $225 million in synergy cost savings across manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, sourcing, SG&A, and labor during the merger of two global specialty chemical companies.

Mr. Terry earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering and an MBA in operations management, both from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.
