Jonathan Hickman

With more than 25 years of management and corporate restructuring experience, Mr. Hickman has advised numerous clients in both financial advisory and interim management roles, including acting as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Restructuring Officer and Chief Operating Officer. He has worked with clients across a range of industries, including distribution, manufacturing, automotive, retail, E&P, oilfield services, mining, financial services and construction.
Most recently, Mr. Hickman served as CRO of GT Real Estate Holdings, leading the company through a successful Chapter 11 process. Before that, he served as financial advisor to Belk, Inc., advising this retailer through its successful pre-packaged bankruptcy. Previously, Mr. Hickman served as CRO of a global manufacturer of heat transfer equipment, assisting the company through a successful out-of-court restructuring. Prior to that, he served as CRO of GST AutoLeather, leading this global automotive supplier through a successful Chapter 11 sale process.
Additionally, Mr. Hickman served as financial advisor to Sidewinder Drilling, partnering with company management on an out-of-court restructuring. He also served as CEO of Piney Woods Resources, a producer of metallurgical and thermal coal in Alabama; CRO of Allens, Inc., leading this food manufacturer through a Chapter 11 process; and financial advisor to The Merit Group, one of the nation’s largest distributors of paint sundries.
Mr. Hickman earned a bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University. He is also a member of the Turnaround Management Association and has served on both the Board of the Carolinas Chapter of the TMA and the Board of Directors of the Central Piedmont Community College Foundation.
