Mr. Hawken has acted as an External Advisor, Principal Investor, and in an interim or line management capacity for businesses from start-ups to multinationals. With more than 30 years of experience, Mr. Hawken has led projects across a range of industry sectors, assisting the boards of public and private companies to improve performance, restructure, and refinance complex capital structures.

Mr. Hawken’s notable assignments include serving as Head of Finance and Restructuring Advisor to the Board for Arrival, a NASDAQ-listed, global electric vehicle company; Chief Restructuring Officer and Advisor to the Board for Railsr, a U.K.-based scale-up financial technology business; interim Finance Director for the technology and change division of Worldpay, the U.K.’s largest card payment processor; and interim Chief Financial Officer of Swinton Group, the U.K.’s largest high street insurance broker. He also served as Director, Chief Financial Officer, and Co-founder of Go Car Credit, a consumer motor finance business.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Hawken spent 16 years in senior positions at AlixPartners and Boston Consulting Group and 10 years in TMT leveraged finance at BNP Paribas, Barclays Investment Bank, and GE Capital after starting his career at Arthur Andersen.

Mr. Hawken earned a master’s degree from the University of Oxford. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and a qualified Chartered Accountant. He has held CF1 Director function and CF10 Compliance Oversight function authorizations from the Financial Conduct Authority.
