Anthony Italiano

With more than 20 years of financial services experience, Mr. Italiano assists clients dealing with complex regulatory and internal investigations. His specific expertise includes non-financial regulatory reporting (blue sheets, large options positions reporting, OATS, CAT, etc.), from issue identification to remediation, complex regulatory investigations, and internal investigations involving issues such as insider trading, front-running, market manipulation, and violations of the market access rule. His extensive background in regulatory and compliance includes trading and sales compliance, branch examinations, surveillance, supervisory policymaking, forensic documentation, eDiscovery, and expertise in securities, banking, and investment advisor regulations.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Italiano spent seven years with FTI Consulting, where he most recently served as Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of the Broker-Dealer Regulatory Governance and Disputes practice. Before that, he served at EY and as a Senior Vice President in Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Regulatory Investigations Group. In this role, he was responsible for responding to regulatory and governmental inquiries that posed significant legal, economic, or reputational risk to the company.
Mr. Italiano earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Phoenix. He is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association. He has held FINRA Series 7, 24, 55, and 63 certifications.
