Terry Steger is a Senior Advisor with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement in Dallas. He specializes in procurement, supply chain, and operations in the telecommunications industry.

With more than 30 years of experience across consulting and industry roles, Mr. Steger has been instrumental in shaping the procurement and supply chain strategies at many leading network operators globally. He has extensive experience in designing and operating supply chains in mobile devices and consumer electronics, network equipment and construction, and network real estate. Additionally, Mr. Steger has a deep expertise in guiding clients through long-term, high-stakes, low-leverage procurement events, such as framework agreements for mobile devices and network infrastructure, as well as tower and small cell master lease agreements (MLAs).

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Steger was a Managing Director at Accenture, where he led the Global Supply Chain practice for the telecommunications and high-tech verticals, serving AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Ericsson, DISH Network, Samsung, HP, Crown Castle, CenturyLink, Comcast, Vodafone, O2, Telstra, and Telefónica, among others.

Prior to his time at Accenture, Mr. Steger was a Procurement Leader with SoftBank Group, leading initiatives in sourcing and partnerships for mobile devices, domestic and international roaming, and tower leasing. He was part of the SoftBank Management team assigned to Sprint immediately after SoftBank’s acquisition, with the goal of drastically transforming Sprint’s cost structure. 

Mr. Steger earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and an MBA from Texas A&M University. Mr. Steger has been published with the Harvard Business Review, EE Times, DC Velocity, and Accenture. He has been a frequent speaker at conferences and events, including Mobile World Congress, Gartner Supply Chain Symposium, and Qualcomm’s 5G Summit. Additionally, he served for a period on the faculty of Baylor University’s MBA program, teaching introductory supply chain and operations courses.
