Craig Hallock is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Transaction Advisory Group in New York. He specializes in providing buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence to private equity firms and strategic buyers in the financial services industry. He has supported transactions across the financial services industry, including wealth and asset management, retail and wholesale insurance brokerages, managing general agents, independent marketing organizations, third-party administrators, and specialty finance.

Mr. Hallock’s areas of expertise include: developing a strong understanding of key drivers of the target company’s business to identify and report on key risks; quality of earnings, including quantifying items impacting transaction valuation; working capital requirements; off-balance sheet exposures; and purchase agreement review.

Mr. Hallock also has experience providing training to key clients on industry updates and areas of diligence focus, assisting sellers with limited financial reporting in preparing financials for the sales process, and identifying opportunities to optimize finance functions.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Hallock served as a Manager in PwC’s Deals practice, where he specialized in financial due diligence engagements within the financial services industry. He began his career in the Financial Services Assurance practice at PwC, where he specialized in audits for banking and capital markets clients.

Mr. Hallock earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Boston University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
