Jimmy Joseph is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Performance Improvement in Melbourne. He brings more than 20 years of diverse experience across various industries, specializing in large-scale transformations, business process optimization, operating model and organizational redesign, as well as sourcing and procurement strategies.

Mr. Joseph’s educational foundation in engineering, business and information technology equips him with robust analytical skills and a sharp business sense, enabling him to address complex strategic and operational issues. He is proficient in business process redesign, operating model and organisation redesign to drive enterprise efficiency and realise value.

Mr. Joseph has developed business cases for large-scale funding, which included reviewing the benefits relative to the business case and ensuring a process for realization. He has also designed and executed complex, multivendor competitive dialogue processes, engaging service providers to explore submissions, designs, contractual documents and innovative ideas and insights. 

Furthermore, Mr. Joseph has developed and coached commercial negotiation strategies, implementing vendor management models to enhance commercial performance and ensure value for money. His career has seen him flourish from a Project Engineer in the petrochemical sector to a Program Delivery Lead, overseeing infrastructure initiatives and digital transformation programs within government agencies.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Joseph spent 14 years with EY, where he advanced to Partner and supported numerous clients in driving multiple digital-enabled transformations. He has also held multiple strategic roles in the industry, including positions at Toyota (Australia and Japan), General Motors (Australia, Detroit and the Chinese mainland), ABB and General Electric.

Mr. Joseph earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering (concentration in chemical and bioprocessing) (honours) and a bachelor’s degree in business in management and IT from Swinburne University of Technology. He has a Six Sigma Black belt, and is Lean TPS trained and SAFe Agile Certified.
