Eduardo Gaspar is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal in Hong Kong, China. Based in Hong Kong and the Philippines, he is part of A&M’s Debt & Capital Lead Advisory practice. 

Mr. Gaspar advises sponsors and corporates on capital raising, strategic financing solutions, and M&A transactions, supporting clients across a wide range of industries, geographies, and transaction types. He is responsible for building and expanding A&M’s Debt & Capital Lead Advisory business in the Philippines, while also leading and executing advisory engagements across Asia–Pacific, working closely with local, regional, and international lenders, investors, and strategic partners.

With more than 13 years of experience, Mr. Gaspar’s background is rooted in designing and implementing large-scale transformation and value-creation programs, which underpins his execution-focused approach to capital and strategic advisory. He has worked extensively across the US, Europe, and Asia–Pacific, advising companies on performance improvement and business transformation. He brings a strong track record in turnaround and restructuring, partnering closely with leadership teams to address liquidity and performance challenges and drive disciplined execution in complex operating environments.

In addition to advisory roles, Mr. Gaspar has held senior interim management positions, including serving as Head of HR for a $1.6-billion global cruise operator, where he managed a workforce of 1,200 employees across 13 countries in Asia and Europe. In these roles, he partners closely with leadership teams to stabilize operations, strengthen organizational capability, and implement transformation initiatives in complex and time-sensitive environments.

Mr. Gaspar’s experience spans multiple sectors, including infrastructure, energy, real estate, telecoms, oil and gas, consumer goods, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, hospitality, media and entertainment, retail, fitness, events and exhibitions, and manufacturing and distribution.

Mr. Gaspar earned a bachelor’s degree in finance (cum laude) from De La Salle University in the Philippines, a master’s degree in blockchain technologies from the University of Barcelona, and an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. A Spanish-Filipino national, he is fluent in English and Filipino and conversational in Spanish.
