On January 28, 2025, the Court issued an order (the “Representative Counsel Order”) approving the appointment of Ursel Phillips Fellows Hopkinson LLP (the “Representative Counsel”) as representative counsel to represent the interests of all members of both the Salaried DB Plan and the Hourly DB Plan (collectively, the “Represented Parties”) in these CCAA proceedings, solely with respect to pension surplus entitlements of the Represented Parties under the Salaried DB Plan and the Hourly DB Plan. June 20, 2023
On June 20, 2023, the Court issued an order (the “Claims Procedure Order”) approving the claims process whereby persons who assert a Claim against 1000156489 Ontario Inc. (f/k/a DCL Corporation) (the “Company”) must file a Proof of Claim with the Monitor on or before 5:00 p.m. (EST) on August 18, 2023 (the “Claims Bar Date”).

December 29, 2022
On December 29, 2022, the Court granted an order (the “Amended and Restated Initial Order”), among other things, to extend the Stay Period (as defined in Paragraph 11 of the Initial Order) until and including March 17, 2023.
December 20, 2022
On December 20, 2022, DCL Corporation (“DCL Canada”) commenced court-supervised restructuring proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. C-36, as amended (the “CCAA”).
On the same day, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) (the “Court”) granted an order (the “Initial Order”), which among other things, provides for an initial stay of proceedings until December 30, 2022 (the “Stay Period”). The Stay Period may be extended by the Court from time to time.
Pursuant to the Initial Order, Alvarez & Marsal Canada Inc. was appointed as monitor (the “Monitor”) of the business and financial affairs of DCL Canada.
Chapter 11 – U.S. Proceedings
The CCAA Proceedings were commenced as part of a larger coordinated restructuring of the DCL Group. On December 20, 2022, DCL Canada’s parent company and certain of its U.S.-based subsidiaries filed voluntary petitions for relief under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
