Vicki Chan is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Restructuring in Vancouver, British Columbia. She focuses on restructuring and turnaround management, as well as corporate finance mandates.

Ms. Chan’s notable engagements include appointments pursuant to the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA). She has experience in conducting business reviews, developing integrative financial models, and acting as a financial advisor to companies and stakeholders in financially distressed situations. Ms. Chan has worked with clients in various industries, including residential and commercial real estate, retail, construction, oil and gas, transportation, and manufacturing. 

Ms. Chan served as financial advisor and CCAA Monitor of Mountain Equipment Cooperative and ENTREC Corporation (TSX:ENT), as financial advisor to the senior secured lending syndicate and Court-appointed Receiver of Reid-Built Homes Ltd., and worked on an interim management assignment for a company operating in the mining services and construction industry.

Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Ms. Chan was with KPMG LLP for five years in the assurance practice, where she focused on mid-market clients, and in the Canadian and International corporate tax group, working with clients in the technology, media, and telecommunications sector.

Ms. Chan earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce (honours) from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. She is a Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA), Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT), and a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP). Ms. Chan has completed the In-Depth Tax program of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. She is a member of the Risk Management Association, the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals, and the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation.
