With more than 19 years of professional experience, including 15 years in transaction advisory services, Mr. Dobbin specializes in coordinating and leading financial accounting due diligence projects for buy-side, sell-side, recapitalizations, and refinancing engagements.

Mr. Dobbin’s focus includes developing a strong understanding of key drivers of the target company’s business to identify and assess key deal issues and risks, quantification of items directly impacting transaction valuation (e.g., understanding normalized EBITDA, adequacy of working capital levels, and debt items), analysis of KPIs, purchase agreement reviews, and support and carve-out transaction implications.

Mr. Dobbin has served clients across a range of industries including manufacturing, construction, pet products, veterinary, professional services, consumer products and services, distribution, life sciences, packaging, and chemicals. His experience ranges from transactions involving lower and middle-market acquisition targets to multibillion-dollar complex cross-border projects with transaction values ranging from $3 million to $14 billion.

Before joining A&M, Mr. Dobbin spent 13 years with EY, where he most recently served in the Strategy and Transactions practice for nine years, including seven years in New York and two years in the UK and Ireland. He began his career with EY’s Audit practice in the UK and Ireland.

Mr. Dobbin earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Newcastle University in the UK. He is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with Chartered Accountants Ireland.
