He specializes in finance and operations. His primary areas of concentration are performance improvement, turnaround and interim management.

With more than 16 years of international consulting and industry experience, Mr. Shinkarenko has worked with clients across a range of industries, including private equity, media and entertainment, telecommunication, retail and banking industries.

Mr. Shinkarenko’s notable assignments include systemic bank restructuring project in Central Asia, interim management of a global investment firm portfolio company in Eastern Europe, financial transparency project with one of the largest industrial companies in Caucasus region. Mr. Shinkarenko served as an Interim CEO of the Russian subsidiary of a global entertainment company (€500 million in sales) and managed to turnaround business to become profitable after three years of loss-making.

Most recently, Mr. Shinkarenko worked with private equity portfolio FMCG company operating in four Western European markets. He managed operational diagnostics phase and developed the performance improvement plan to drive rapid EBITDA improvement by 5% of the revenue.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Shinkarenko spent seven years with Big Four companies in finance consulting and transactions in New York and Moscow, where he built a successful CFO services consulting practice. Mr. Shinkarenko also spent three years serving as a CFO in distressed fashion retail and hospitality private equity portfolio companies in Moscow helping to realize an exit strategy.

Mr. Shinkarenko earned a master’s degree in finance and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of New Hampshire. He is fluent in English and Russian.
