The pandemic effected healthcare and Health Systems in ways no one could have imagined or seen coming. Rod Hochman, M.D., President and Chief Executive Officer at Providence, joins Peter Urbanowicz, A&M Healthcare Industry Group’s Co-Head and David Shulkin, M.D., A&M Healthcare Industry Group Senior Advisor, to share his innovative visions and moonshots for the future. Dr. Hochman shares six major instabilities he has identified in healthcare and explains how the pandemic exposed these and other vulnerabilities in the industry. Dr. Hochman explains his vision for creating an industry that can address some of these instabilities, including mental health, affordability, health inequity, supply chain issues, cyber instabilities and more.

Dr. Hochman’s moonshots include achieving free primary care for all and he intends, and is striving towards, getting Providence to carbon negative by 2030.
