The Impact of COVID-19 on Patient Volume Across U.S. Health Systems and What the Future Holds - Part II

As hospitals and health systems have consistently been on the front lines fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, dramatic drops in patient volume initially occurred. Throughout the past year as COVID-19 surges ebbed and flowed, in order to maintain safety, health systems needed to continuously pivot and adapt. At times, organizations had to cancel or lower the number of surgeries and procedures they could perform, as well as manage the uneasiness of patients coming into their facilities.

In part II, Dr. Strumwasser, Mr. Puckett and Mr. Arbuckle, Senior Leaders from Health Systems across the country, continue their conversation with A&M Managing Director, Arnie Schaffer, as they look to the future. Listen as they share their experiences of the impact the pandemic had on their affiliated medical groups, uptick in telehealth usage, cash flow, and how distribution networks may affect the industry moving forward.
