The Company operated in the energy industry as an accredited smart meter installation business, with services including meter asset management.

SITUATION

• A&M was initially engaged to run an accelerated options process, following the well-documented economic pressures in the UK retail energy market. The Company lost key energy retailer customers that ceased to trade following the Supplier of Last Resort process.​

A&M ROLE AND OUTCOME

• A&M launched a marketing process contacting a wide variety of parties, including private equity investors, trade parties and four individuals.​

• A pre-packaged transaction completed for the sale of the Company’s intellectual property, goodwill, IT assets and office equipment. Included the transfer of the remaining 28 head office staff and a three month licence to occupy for the head office.

• A further 81 staff transferred to another entity as part of a transaction, therefore between the two transactions, all jobs were preserved / transferred.​
