SITUATION

• Following a period of market volatility driven by stock availability and materials pricing fluctuations, the shareholders sought an opportunity to realise their investment to a purchaser seeking scale.

A&M ROLE AND OUTCOME

• A&M was appointed as sell-side advisor to Gold Line Feeds Limited in April 2022. 

• Our special situations M&A team contacted over 40 potential interested parties, including trade and private equity buyers.

• After a competitive bidding process, Gold Line Feeds Limited successfully sold the majority of its business and assets to United Petfood Producers NV, in a solvent transaction, which completed in December 2022.

• United Petfood is backed by Waterland Private Equity, which has a successful track record in purchasing and integrating businesses in the pet food manufacturing sector.
