Mr. Brown has a diversified background in real estate consulting with primary emphasis in the areas of valuation and valuation management for investment analysis, portfolio asset management as well as acquisitions and dispositions. His principal focus is on core real estate holdings including office, industrial, retail and multifamily assets.
With more than 15 years of real estate consulting experience, Mr. Brown has deep expertise in a variety of real estate matters, including real estate valuation and cash flow modeling as well as market research for a variety of real estate classes globally. He also provides transaction advisory services including market analysis, financial modeling, due diligence with a specialization in purchase price allocation. Mr. Brown’s client base includes lenders, institutional investors, pension funds, REITs, private equity firms and financial services firms.
Mr. Brown’s primary focus has been in appraisal review and valuation management for investment analysis, financing/CMBS securitization, portfolio asset management, financial reporting and acquisitions and dispositions for a wide variety of property types including office, retail, multi-family, hotel, industrial (manufacturing, distribution/warehouse, cold storage and R&D), along with special purpose assets including self-storage, religious facilities, golf courses, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties, residential and mixed-use developments.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Brown was a Manager at Altus Group - Research, Valuation, and Advisory. He also served in the the Real Estate Advisory Services practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he focused on real estate valuation and valuation advisory throughout North America.
Mr. Brown earned a master’s degree in of land economics and real estate and a bachelor’s degree in finance, both from Texas A&M University. He is a member of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF) and the Aggie Real Estate Network.
