Mr. Bawa led enterprise-wide transformation and cost reduction efforts for large and complex businesses by applying over 20 years of industry and consulting experience in operations, marketing and supply chain within retail, manufacturing and technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) industries.
Mr. Bawa was recently engaged in a large-scale transformation and cost reduction effort for a leading technology firm that provides real-time marketing analytics for the TMT industry sector. Mr. Bawa also led an enterprise-wide cost reduction effort for a large healthcare firm post-divestiture. Mr. Bawa's recent work in retail includes leading the supply chain optimization efforts for a top 5 national home improvement retailer focused on improving distribution center productivity, synchronizing the end to end supply chain to migrate from a push to a pull fulfillment model, bringing inbound freight costs (pre-paid & collect), inventory turns to industry parity.
Mr. Bawa was also engaged with a national Auto Club in the development of a new business operating model and distribution strategy. He also led the optimization of the Auto Club's advertising & direct marketing plan by applying customer segmentation, statistical methods and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Bawa spent the previous 11 years in various leadership roles at Washington Inventory Service (WIS Int'l), a leading global provider of inventory and merchandising services to multinational retailers. Before joining A&M, Mr. Bawa last served as the SBU head for the Western Region leading ~600 employees with multi-million-dollar P&L responsibility.
Mr. Bawa served in the US Army's 82nd Airborne Division, leading tactical deployments in airborne operations. He has also led units in multiple deployments and operations (Operations Desert Thunder & Desert Focus).
Mr. Bawa holds dual MBA's from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and Columbia University's Columbia Business School (Executive MBA program), with concentrations in entrepreneurship and strategy. Mr. Bawa earned a BBA (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Texas at Arlington.
