Mr. Parekh specializes in advising clients on enterprise data strategy, regulatory & compliance, business & IT transformation, and operating model designs to improve organization performance, and effectiveness. His primary areas of concentration are enterprise data strategy management, program/project management, Agile methodology, build vs. buy analysis, operating model designs, process optimization, Big Data infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, Blockchain, and FinTech integration.
Most recently, Mr. Parekh advised a major, globally regulated, capital market firm in establishing a data management strategy for a derivative reporting infrastructure to save +$10 million annually. This was accomplished through reduced data and systems footprint, improved data accuracy & transparency with regulators, enabling efficient interaction with +5000 banking clients, and helping organization adapt to regulatory changes and market innovations.
Mr. Parekh has also overseen a regulatory data management program for a large investment bank. The program established a centralized data repository that hosted the entire firm’s transactions, reference data, and services based global platform to converge +50 siloed regulatory systems.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Parekh was a senior advisor for a data strategy and operations transformation with a management consulting firm. He has advised financial services organizations, healthcare providers, and insurance firms in establishing their enterprise wide transformation initiatives, digital strategy, technology architecture, and change management programs.
Mr. Parekh served various roles at Goldman Sachs, Barclays Capital, Lehman Brothers, and Merrill Lynch. He was responsible for driving multi-million-dollar transformation initiatives to establish data transformation programs, regulatory platforms, post trade payments processing & settlement services, front-office trading platforms, MDM, and client on-boarding flows.
Mr. Parekh earned a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from Gujarat University in India. He is a volunteer judge and mentor for the largest startup incubators in the U.S. and actively blogs about various data and disruptive technology topics.
