Traci McCready is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement in Houston.

She has built her career working with top-level executives on maximizing organizational performance through a broad range of human resource disciplines, including strategy development, corporate restructuring, organizational design / effectiveness, change management, performance management, and global HR management.

Ms. McCready has over 20 years of experience leading human resource teams and working in consulting roles, with industries such as energy, industrial manufacturing, oil and gas, and technology.

Her notable achievements include: clarified strategy, developed competency model, designed assessment process, conducted performance and competency assessment, and identified overall talent needs for an oil and gas organization, a construction-products business, a chemicals organization and government agency; and she built talent systems for several organizations including identification of talent requirements, assessment of current talent, identification of bench strength and gaps, succession planning, development planning, and development of program strategy.

In addition, Ms. McCready defined roles, developed competency models, designed selection process, trained managers and facilitated selection decisions for the e-procurement function in a large consumer products company; Completed a detailed assessment of a client’s HR function and implemented several cost cutting improvements that resulted in a $7 million annual savings and an increase in overall efficiency and employee satisfaction; and Provided tools and input for organizational design, compensation, change management, and staffing with a project team that achieved $17 million in savings on labor, maintenance, and warranty costs.

Prior to joining A&M, she worked in consulting with Axiom Consulting Partners and Accenture. She has also held several executive level HR roles with organizations such as Thorn EMI, International Motion Controls and Crystal.

Ms. McCready earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial relations from Westminster College and an MBA from West Virginia University.
