He has strong financial and performance improvement experience in information services, ecommerce, SaaS, internet services, software development, radio, television, energy/services, publishing and royalties and licensing.
Mr. Flynn has deep experience in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, business integrations, business operations, debt re-financings, restructurings, Chapter 11 proceedings, cost reductions and systems implementations.
His recent engagements include advising the CEO and Board of a PE-backed media services business in accessing financial operations and positioning the company for possible exit. Additionally, he served as interim CFO of a PE-backed global logistics business, leading the Company through a debt restructuring, improving monthly financial reporting and long-term financial planning processes.
Mr. Flynn was also the Interim CFO for a Global Consumer Goods Company with a manufacturing plant in China that was recently taken over by a PE firm. The Company had liquidity issues, poor decentralized systems and a complex management structure. In this role, he maximized efficiencies by improving profitability, reporting, forecasting and cash management.
Prior to joining A&M Mr. Flynn was the Managing Member of Coral Drive Partners LLC, a financial and operations consulting firm performing C-level financial management, performance improvement and acquisition related engagements for mid-sized companies.
Mr. Flynn has also served as CFO for multiple businesses which includes serving as the SVP and CFO of Environmental Data Resources, a DMGI portfolio company, where he established the company’s first financial planning and analysis team and led efforts to diversify revenue streams by expanding the firm’s client base utilizing its data and SaaS product lines. Mr. Flynn also served as EVP, COO and CFO of Summit Business Media, a private equity owned business roll up in the B2B information services industry whose product lines included digital products, data products, e-learning courses, SaaS, digital workflow, print periodicals and live events.
Mr. Flynn began his career with PwC in New York City and is a graduate of Syracuse University with dual degrees in accounting from the Whitman School of Business and Broadcast Journalism from the Newhouse School of Communications.
Mr. Flynn currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Finance for the Town of Fairfield, CT; a member of the Board of Directors of the State of Ct. Green Bank and as a member of the Board of Directors of Beardsley Zoo.
