He specializes in turnaround and profit improvement. His primary areas of concentration are P&L management, contract management, operations, and commercial & multi-functional team leadership. Mr. Rino has work with clients across a range of industries, including food & beverage, telecommunications, and logistics.
Most recently at A&M, Mr. Rino has lead projects in Linde (industrial gases), Cummins (engines) and Ontex (consumer goods) and was an interim CEO at Log&Print (printing). In each role, working together with the board and C-level of the companies focused on efficiency increase, cost reduction and commercial margin regain. He also assisted Log&Print on the due diligence and acquisition of an industrial plant from Pearson and a merger with Print Laser as well as conducting the Post Merger Integration of the companies.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Rino acted on the turnaround of the chemical and petrochemical segments of Aqces Logistics, where he was responsible for restructuring the commercial, operations, & maintenance areas and significantly reducing the SG&A costs. He was also responsible for the P&L of the in-house operations in clients such as British Petroleum, Fibria Celulose, Arcelor Mital, Raízen, Cimpor, Camargo Corrêa, Votorantim Metais, Braskem, and M&G with over 1,000 assets and 800 people under his command.
During his time at J. Macêdo, Mr. Rino implemented the operations planning department to coordinate the sales, production, & logistics strategies of 300 SKUs, 18 plants, and seven distribution centers. He acted as the strategic head to redefine the industrial & logistics footprint to increase margins and return over invested capital, implemented & coordinated the S&OP value chain, implemented the MM & APO modules in SAP, and acted with Bunge in a Joint Venture created to manage the mills of both companies focused is productivity increase and cost reduction.
Mr. Rinoo began his professional career at Ambev where he worked in Inbound, Warehouse & Outbound and coordinated the restructuring of the S&OP cycle together with sales, acting to reduce the costs resulted from incorrect demand planning. He also participated in product innovation projects like Stella Artois, Bohemia Escura, Bohemia Confraria, and coordinated the export of Brahma to England, Australia, Canada, & United States.
Mr. Rino earned a degree in production engineering in the Federal University of São Carlos and is fluent in English and Portuguese.
