Mr. Sundararajan specializes in providing strategic advice to senior executives in consumer goods and retail industries to achieve growth, profitability and operational excellence. Some of the relevant experiences and accomplishments include:

Served as Interim Head of Sourcing for a leading home decor retailer. Developed and implemented direct sourcing strategies, managed bid/ award process, selected agent/factory partners, negotiated contracts and on-boarded vendors. Reduced FOB 18 percent and improved IMU 800 bps.

Led project development and sourcing strategy for $1 billion global apparel wholesaler with 25+ brands to turnaround declining sales and improve margins. Identified critical value levers to achieve speed to market and reduced product costs that will provide $23-41 million in incremental margin over three years.

For an iconic footwear company, overhauled sourcing network. Evaluated 40+ factories, selected strategic partners, negotiated prices and upgraded supply base from low-cost focus to highly capable CSR compliant suppliers while mitigating supply chain risk. Improved margins 400 bps.

Led assessment of wholesale business processes from product concept to consumer delivery across 11 brands for a leading footwear company to achieve improved speed and flexibility, streamline processes and reduce costs. Recommendations to improve margins $17-27 million.

Mr. Sundararajan has strong China and Asia sourcing experience, across apparel, footwear and home goods, including 100+ trips to Asia. Mr. Sundararajan built dedicated teams in Asia and set up a legal business entity in China and employed people to perform quality, supply chain and sourcing functions. Fostered communication between U.S. and China staff, mentored teams to overcome cultural barriers.

Prior to his A&M experience, Mr. Sundararajan's past experiences include Executive Vice President of Operations at Hooker Furniture and General Manager, Import Division at Pulaski Furniture and Senior Manager at Kurt Salmon. He founded his own startup, Libra Consulting.

Mr. Sundararajan earned a master degree in industrial engineering from Lehigh University and a bachelor degree from Indian Institute of Technology, in mechanical engineering.
