Mr. Pinfield's recent roles include acting as Chief Transformation officer for a Global Services company, Chief Financial Officer of a 240-store, £1billion-revenue UK retailer, designing a 100-day plan development and advising an apparel Company in Italy, driving a EBITDA improvement at a 400-store UK retailer, advising on a pan-European merger and integration for a global apparel brand, an SG&A cost take-out for the European Division of a global clothing brand and an IT carve-out for a financial services business.
Previously, he spent three years in various roles at CHC which culminated with him acting as President of CHC Helicopter Services, a US$1.3 billion revenue global provider of helicopter services in the oil field services market and the search and rescue / emergency medical markets. He led management to deliver substantial year-on-year profit and cash improvements via a combination of growth, restructuring and cost reduction strategies. Significant changes were made to the staffing and operational model, together with sales growth into new markets and services. Prior to this, he worked on the successful Euro 1.9 billion debt restructuring of the Wind Hellas Telecom Group.
He advised DB Apparel, a private equity owned apparel business, on the implementation of performance improvement plans across France, Italy, Germany and Spain; serving in three different CFO roles for Levi Strauss UK, Levi Strauss Germany and Dockers Europe. In his final role at Dockers, he acted as interim Vice President for Dockers Europe, leading the development of the turnaround and restructuring plan and driving its implementation. Mr. Pinfield also served as CEO of Lee Cooper, a fashion wear wholesaler and retailer, with global operations in 80 countries. He stabilized and improved working capital management, secured a refinancing, and commenced the implementation of an operational restructuring.
Before joining A&M, Mr. Pinfield held senior management positions in the restructuring groups of Deloitte & Touche and Ernst & Young, where he advised on issues such as business disposals, factory closures, business planning, crisis stabilization / cash flow management, financial restructuring and re-financing. He was also seconded to the turnaround team at one of the UK’s largest clearing banks. Additionally, he served as an adviser to a number of boards in diverse sectors.
Mr. Pinfield earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy and financial analysis, with honors, from Warwick University. He is a Chartered Accountant (FCA), a licensed Insolvency practitioner and a member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals.
