Scott Notarainni is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement group in Houston.

He specializes in finance process improvement, ERP implementations, and finance transformations. He is an international financial executive with broad-based exposure in corporate finance.  Mr. Notarainni delivers process improvement, organizational design and enterprise resource planning implementations. He is an expert in record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, payroll processes and has experience in budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, risk and controls, and credit/collections. He has also held interim/permanent roles within the finance/accounting functions of Fortune 500 companies.

With more than 25 years of management experience, Mr. Notarainni has primarily worked in and led projects in the consumer products, technology, manufacturing, financial institutions, healthcare, logistics, pharmaceuticals and oil & gas industries.

Mr. Notarainni’s notable assignments include an Interim CFO role for a PE owned luxury national retailer where he was responsible for the accounting and FP&A functions and a Controller role for a PE owned software company.  His primary responsibilities included the review and issuance of month-end results, review of the monthly trial balance sheet and issuing timely and complete financial statements to senior executives and PE executives.  He was also responsible for working with outside auditors to complete YE audit. 

He also led large teams at an international logistics company that improved the finance and accounting processes included in a new ERP system implementation (Oracle Financials).  Mr. Notarainni and his team designed the future state processes around a new accounting system with the corporate and local country accounting groups in nine different countries in Latin America. 

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Notarainni was employed by FTI Consulting and EY in Houston, where he most recently served as Managing Director and Sr. Manager, respectively on the Finance Advisory teams. 

Mr. Notarainni earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Michigan State University and an MBA in international finance from The Thunderbird School of Global Management.  He is Six Sigma Green Belt certified and Black Belt Trained.
