Saverio Ferme is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement. With more than 20 years of experience, he has deep expertise in technology strategy definition and implementation, cost reduction, business innovation, merger integration strategy and execution, business-to-business (B2B) integration and process improvement. Mr. Ferme’s industry experience includes high-tech, healthcare, public sector, logistics services, retail, consumer products and automotive.

Mr. Ferme recently led engagements to identify R&D Agile adoption improvement opportunities and implement program management best practices for a large system qualities implementation effort for an $8 billion internet payment processing firm, as well as to provide Agile implementation support to a $600 million e-commerce company. Additionally, he defined a service oriented solution architecture capability for a $4 billion data storage company; restructured a $1 billion program to meet a healthcare company’s board mandate, achieving $146 million in savings; and remediated a $70 million healthcare reform program and enterprise architecture capability at a large health insurance carrier.

Mr. Ferme also conducted maturity assessments for a business engineering organization and integrated design capability for a healthcare client’s $1 billion program. Additionally, he defined the business case and project structure for an Agile-based implementation of a vendor catalog intake-to-publishing solution for a large e-commerce retailer.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Ferme was Vice President of Engineering at Computer Associates in the governance applications business unit, responsible for the definition, planning, architecture and implementation of the governance applications suite roadmaps. He managed architecture, software development, quality assurance, technical support and product planning organization. He also delivered the first suite as a SaaS (software as a service) offering, revamped the suite user experience leveraging web 2.0 technologies and implemented and executed Agile SCRUM methodology across a global research and development organization.

Previously, Mr. Ferme was Senior Director of Applications Development at Oracle Corporation in the Supply-Chain Applications business unit, where he was responsible for strategy, architecture and execution of the Distribution and Logistics applications suite across parallel releases. He introduced a new e-commerce platform for trading transportation services and the delivery of several key industry vertical capabilities. Mr. Ferme was also engaged in leading the strategy, architecture and implementation of successful integrations of new product suite Oracle acquisitions.

Mr. Ferme holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Brown University. He is a certified Agile SCRUM Master and Prosci Change Management professional. Mr. Ferme is fluent in Italian and English and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
