With 20 years of experience, Ms. Hao specializes in providing tax provision and compliance services to both multinational public and venture backed pre-IPO companies.
Ms. Hao advises companies through the tax accounting aspects of complex transactions, including public offerings, acquisitions, and corporate restructurings. She has experience across all technology industries, including software, semiconductors, telecommunications, information technology, life sciences, and clean-tech industries.
Ms. Hao has deep experience in complex tax provision issues including equity compensation, business combinations, global structuring, carve-outs, intraperiod allocations, valuation allowance, research credits and uncertain tax positions. Her tax expertise includes consolidated return issues, acquisitions and divestitures, tax attribute limitations, tax authority examinations & process development and reengineering. Ms. Hao is passionate about helping others identify and solve problems. She leverages her ability to effectively organize with fluidity – adjusting and complementing to meet short and long-term objects.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Hao was a Managing Director at Clifton Douglas and a Tax Director at the PricewaterhouseCoopers San Jose office. During this time, she worked on large multinational companies as well as newly formed public corporations.
Ms. Hao earned a master’s degree in economics with a minor in computer science from Indiana University Bloomington and a master’s degree in accounting from San Jose State University. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
