Samira Imamverdiyeva is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Transaction Advisory Group in New York.

She specializes in capital markets and accounting advisory, specifically in assisting companies with initial public offerings, carve-outs, spin-offs and other capital markets transactions. Mrs. Imamverdiyeva also advises on the preparation of standalone U.S. GAAP compliant financial statements, complex accounting and reporting issues, including business combinations, new revenue recognition standard (ASC 606), consolidations stock-compensation and lease transactions.

Ms. Imamverdieyeva brings extensive experience providing technical accounting and SEC reporting advice to clients in a wide range of industries including capital markets transactions, public company readiness, recurring SEC reporting issues, responses to issues raised by auditors or the by the SEC staff in comment letters, as well as the assessment, documentation and implementation of accounting guidance. Her sector experience includes consumer products, financial services, real estate, private equity, software and technology, oil and gas and pharmaceutical industries. 

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Imamverdiyeva spent more than 12 years as a Director with the Transaction Services Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Group in PricewaterhouseCoopers New York office. During her tenure at PwC, Samira served a wide range of public and non-public clients advising on preparation of GAAP financial statements, IPOs and IPO readiness, Article 11 Pro-forma financial statements, follow-on debt and equity offerings, S-X Rule 3-05 and 3-09, comfort letters, recurring SEC reporting, adoption of new accounting standards and complex accounting issues. 

Mr. Imamverdiyeva earned a MBA from Mason School of Business at the College of William and Mary, VA with a concentration in finance, where she graduated with honors. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of New Hampshire and is a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), United Kingdom.
