Rudy Dimmling is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Insurance and Risk Advisory Services in New York. He brings more than 25 years of financial, operational and restructuring experience in the financial guaranty, reinsurance, P&C, brokerage and healthcare sectors.

He is an expert in assisting corporate clients with stabilizing and enhancing financial and operational performance for stakeholders and policyholders.

Mr. Dimmling's brings experience serving as interim CFO for a national PE-owned behavioral health insurer where he oversaw all finance operations including actuarial, FP&A, accounting, tax, and treasury. As EVP and CFO, he led a staff of 110 professionals with specific responsibilities for budgeting, forecasting, Board, investor and lender reporting, issuing audited financial statements for ten legal entities, client profitability analysis and serving on numerous executive committees. 

Mr. Dimmling also served as interim CFO for a wholesale insurance broker where he was responsible for global financial operations. He led a staff of 15 finance and accounting professionals and was responsible for financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting, working capital management, FP&A, and bank debt compliance. He reported directly to the CEO and provided quarterly reporting to the Board of Directors and the client's PE partner.

Additionally, Mr. Dimmling served as interim COO for a U.S. based trade credit insurer where he assisted in the client's operational restructuring. As part of a multi-phase engagement, he was responsible for the transformational redesign of the client's independent agency distribution model. 
He also served as interim Director of Finance (CFO) of North Carolina's Division of Medical Assistance (Medicaid) where he was responsible for the financial operations of Medicaid's $14B budget. Rudy was responsible for budgeting/forecasting, cash management, actuarial, financial reporting, rate setting and provider audit. While on this engagement, Mr. Dimmling also testified before the North Carolina Legislative Oversight Committee on Medicaid's financial performance.

Prior to this, Mr. Dimmling served as SVP and CAO at Centre Group Holdings (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zurich Financial Services) with direct responsibility for claims, actuarial, risk management and IT.

Mr. Dimmling earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a MBA in finance from Adelphi University. He is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor and a member of the Turnaround Management Association, John Street Association and Insurance Federation of New York (Board member). Additionally, he has served on the board of directors of a catastrophic healthcare company, several reinsurance companies and an investment bank.
