Rishi Jain is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal in San Francisco, specializing in advising troubled companies, lenders, unsecured creditors and equity sponsors in distressed and non-distressed situations.

Mr. Jain has advised both debtors and creditors in situations in and out of bankruptcy. His primary areas of concentration include financial and operational assessments, and liquidity management involving cash flow models and business plan preparation and review.

Mr. Jain currently serves as the Vice President of Restructuring for WMI Liquidating Trust after having served as the VP of Restructuring for Washington Mutual, Inc. and is assisting in the liquidation and wind-down of the former parent to Washington Mutual Bank. Prior to this, he served as the interim Treasurer to KEE Action Sports, the largest maker and distributer of paintball sporting goods. Notable advisory assignments include: Wellman, Inc., TOUSA, Inc., Murray Energy Corp., Legacy Estates Group and Steak-umm LLC.

Previous to A&M, Mr. Jain worked at Nightingale & Associates, a boutique restructuring firm specializing in interim and crisis management assignments. Prior to restructuring and turnarounds, he spent three years in investment banking and two years in operations. He was with the private placements group of RBC Capital Markets, the mergers & acquisitions group of Merrill Lynch, and the technology groups of RBC Capital Markets and Montgomery Securities.

Mr. Jain earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California at Berkeley and a master’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in finance, from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School.
