During her time at the firm, Ms. Ngo-Burns has specialized in transforming finance organizations from within larger corporations to stand-alone and reporting separately to new owners.
She specializes in transforming carved-out, integrating mergers and acquisitions, executing IPO entities, into stand-alone, fully functioning new organizations. Her other areas of concentration are interim finance executives, finance performance improvements, SEC financial reporting, technical accounting and enterprise risk management (including SOX implementations).
Ms. Ngo-Burns is also recognized as the firm’s subject matter expert in evaluation of the products, services and back-end infrastructure in the aviation industry. During her two years’ tenure at A&M, she has reviewed and advised in several projects related to the aviation industry. The projects included due diligence for certain regional carriers and PE firms interested in charter operations.
With more than 25 years of finance and strategic leadership experience, Ms. Ngo-Burns has served as CFO for a Fortune 1000 company and a PE-owned transportation and for-profit post-secondary college, respectively.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Ngo-Burns spent more than 15 years with the finance organizations at ExpressJet and Continental Airlines in Houston, Texas, where she most recently served as CFO of ExpressJet. She was a strategic leader with a strong grasp of core financial concepts and demonstrated success in delivering financial, leasing and operating solutions for commercial business development and crisis management in the highly competitive and regulated air transportation industry.
Ms. Ngo-Burns earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Oklahoma State University and an executive master’s degree in business administration. She is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Financial Executives International. She currently serves on the Finance Committee of St. Dominic Village, a not-for-profit healthcare provider for Priests, Nuns and other parishioners of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
