Mr. Chatin focuses primarily on general management, business development, operations and finance for corporations across a range of industries, including business services, manufacturing, automotive and construction.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Chatin served as COO of the multinational management and technology consulting firm BearingPoint Group and head of its software business. Along with his German constituency, Mr. Chatin conducted the management buy-out (MBO) of the firm’s European business following a Chapter 11 filing. Managing the carve-out of the business, he contributed to a significant increase of the group’s profitability, and to the structure and acceleration of the development strategy within the firm’s software business.
Mr. Chatin served as Senior Vice President and CEO of BearingPoint France, managing the unit through the IT and internet crisis and leading the company to a profitable turnaround by implementing a restructuring plan. He subsequently introduced and developed the BearingPoint brand into the French market, integrated the French unit within the new global organization and adapted its finance function and process to NYSE-listed group requirements. Mr. Chatin was in charge of the France-Benelux region and served as a member of the European Management team.
Mr Chatin’s entrepreneurial and leadership experience began with his role in launching the Business Consulting practice of Andersen in Paris in 1994. Beginning with seven consultants, he grew the practice to 350, then led the acquisition and integration of Price Waterhouse Management Consultants in France which doubled the size of the practice to 700 consultants throughout the region. Following the Enron crisis in September 2002, Mr. Chatin conducted the sale of the French Business Consulting unit to BearingPoint. He served as a member of the European & Worldwide Andersen Business Leadership team.
Mr. Chatin began his career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen where he was part of the transactions and operational consulting practice in the firm’s Paris office.
Mr. Chatin earned a degree from Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC). He is also an Expert Comptable Diplômé (French Chartered Professional Accountant). He attended a Leadership Executive Seminar at Yale University. Mr. Chatin is a French citizen and is fluent in English.
