Ninad Shinde is a Senior Director in Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Performance Improvement team in London. He has more than 15 years of experience working with PE firms in management consulting and investment banking on M&A as well as exits, due diligence and post-deal value creation. Mr. Shinde has worked extensively in the industrials, healthcare, TMT, financial and business services sectors in Europe, Asia and North America.

He focuses on value creation through gross margin improvement, zero-based budgeting, process efficiency improvement, network optimization, SG&A reduction, product portfolio rationalization and new product introduction.

Some of Mr. Shinde’s notable engagements with PE firms and their portfolio companies include: conducting operational diligence and developing the value creation thesis ahead of the acquisition of a leading global semiconductor manufacturer by a PE firm.

At an European e-payments company, he assessed operations and technology platforms ahead of the acquisition, identifying transformational improvements to deliver a step-up in EBITDA
Mr. Shinde helped develop the value creation thesis ahead of the acquisition of a global diversified business services firm, helping the PE firm to gain comfort in a contested auction through proprietary insights.

He has worked with PE-owned hospitals / retirement homes business to help redesign front-line healthcare delivery organization and restructured back-office business functions, to support a rapidly growing estate, patient pool and service offerings.

Mr. Shinde also worked with a PE firm to conduct operational diligence at a tele-health services firm, identifying EBITDA improvement opportunities and opportunities to improve the digital / IoT service offering.

Previously, Mr. Shinde worked for AlixPartners, EY, Accenture and Stroud Consulting where he focused on PE value creation. He also worked at Nomura in sponsors investment banking and leveraged finance. Mr. Shinde started his career at a bio-analytics startup, Advion BioSciences, where he designed and launched a rapid throughput nano-fluidic device to speed up drug discovery and development. He has a master’s degree in engineering from Purdue University and an MBA in finance from London Business School.
