Neil Brigham is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement in Atlanta.

With more than 30 years of leadership experience and an approach that stresses accountability and business results, he has extensive consulting and industry experience that comes from serving as a chief operating executive.

C-level executives reach out to Mr. Brigham when they need an executive who can solve their most challenging business issues, succeed with a major business initiative / transformation, grow revenue, improve results and be cost effective, increase business value from their information technology organization and investments, successfully develop and implement application systems and next-generation technologies, or when they desire an independent advisor or interim executive for a challenged organization.

His recent client roles include working with a $25 billion global corporation to transform their U.S. finance function which supports 13 U.S. subsidiaries. His team assessed their finance function, processes and technologies, identified root-cause issues, defined an actionable plan to gain control over numerous initiatives and resource-spend, and is implementing broad-sweeping change.

Mr. Brigham worked with a $23 billion global manufacturer and supplier of building materials to transform the IT function for their U.S. subsidiary, which is the leading vertically-integrated supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready-mix concrete, and construction and paving services in the U.S. His team assessed and redesigned the IT organization, defined the IT strategy, hired new IT leadership and implementing an IT governance structure.

In addition, he helped a $3 billion diversified-portfolio company make the correct strategic investments in new technology applications, and assisted a Southeastern state agency in regaining control over a dysfunctional IT organization; defining strategy, hiring new leadership and responding to cyber-security issues.

Mr. Brigham helped a global privately-held manufacturer and seller of communications and collaboration systems restructure and improve the operating margin for their professional services division.

Before joining A&M, Mr. Brigham was a partner with KPMG in their business performance advisory practice and built KPMG’s global Knowledge Processing Offshore operation; he was also a partner in Arthur Andersen’s IT consulting practice, and a partner with Accenture in their application systems, technology services and change management consulting practices.

He also served as CIO for a multi-billion corporation with a 600-person IT organization.

Mr. Brigham earned a B.S. degree in finance and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Syracuse University (NY). He was salutatorian of his graduating class. He is a frequent speaker on the topics of transformational “next generation” IT (cloud, analytics, mobile and social media), leadership, serving the global market, and maximizing business impact.
