Ms. Davidson has over 25 years of experience as internal and external employee benefits counsel to domestic and multinational companies. Her practice includes the design, implementation and administration of broad-based and executive incentive, severance and retirement programs. In addition to advising on global compensation and benefits strategies and compliance, Ms. Davidson represents buyers and sellers in human resources mergers and acquisitions. Her work also focuses on due diligence and negotiation and drafting of transactional provisions related to pensions, severance, executive compensation and change in control.
Ms. Davidson has substantial experience in employee benefits within bankruptcy, U.S. and non-U.S. pension investment policies and pension de-risking strategies. She has led ERISA fiduciary compliance and responsibility initiatives for U.S. investment and administrative committees.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Davidson was Lead Counsel, Compensation & Benefits at LyondellBasell (LYB), one of the world’s largest plastics, chemical and refining companies. During her 10 years within the LYB Legal Department, Ms. Davidson collaborated with other functional staffs and outside service providers to oversee all compensation and benefits matters. She was closely involved in LYB’s privatization, Chapter 11 protection filing, emergence from bankruptcy and subsequent public listing.
Ms. Davidson earned a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Wellesley College. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and is a Society of Human Resources – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
