Melissa Glynn is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Restructuring in Washington, D.C. She focuses on transformation for public sector organizations including federal and state agencies, K-12 and higher education, and not-for-profit associations.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Glynn served as a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers supporting the development of its Federal Advisory practice and serving as its Global Engagement Partner for services to the Department of Veterans Affairs. In that capacity, she led efforts related to financial management and internal controls, healthcare strategic planning and real estate, healthcare revenue cycle, acquisitions and logistics, and personnel training and development. Ms. Glynn has a broad technical background in providing services to clients on compliance and regulatory issues in healthcare, higher education, energy operations and energy management. She has also teamed up with many large defense contractors, as well as small minority-owned businesses.

Ms. Glynn's extensive client experience includes: the Department of Defense, the Department of Health and Human Services, Westinghouse, National Grid Group, Exelon, Georgetown University, George Washington University, MedStar Health, the World Bank and AARP.

Previously, she served as Associate Director for the Center for the Management of Information (CMI) at the University of Arizona concurrent to completion of her dissertation work. At CMI, Ms. Glynn directed day-to-day operations and led research initiatives on behalf of several defense research organizations. Her research focused on sense making in distributed communication environments.

Ms. Glynn earned a bachelor's degree from Rutgers University. She also earned a master's degree and Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. She serves on the Board of the USO of the Capital Region and serves on the Women's Leadership Council for the United Way of the National Capital Area.
