His primary areas of concentration are operating cash flow analysis, strategic analysis of land acquisitions and dispositions, and the implementation and transitioning of new accounting processes and systems. He has also assisted developers, operators, investors and lenders in the area of real estate, hospitality, tourism and other leisure-related industries.
With more than 12 years of real estate experience, Mr. Pons has provided advisory services on mergers, acquisitions, disposition due diligence, implementation and contract negotiation, as well as cash flow analysis, interim management, strategic planning, market and feasibility analysis, and development oversight.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Pons worked for Ernst & Young's real estate audit group, PricewaterhouseCoopers' transaction advisory services group, national homebuilder Technical Olympic USA (TOUSA) and Regus PLC, the world's largest executive offices provider.
Mr. Pons earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from Texas A&M University and is fluent in Spanish. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Texas and is a member of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA). Mr. Pons is the President of the board of directors of the Dallas Contemporary.
