His areas of specialization include compensation benchmarking, design, governance, and compliance, and the impact of corporate restructuring and other transactions upon compensation.
Mr. Scott’s experience includes developing and aligning business strategy and compensation, aligning compensation and benefit programs with current and future business performance, modifying compensation programs to support turnaround or bankruptcy efforts, benchmarking compensation to determine market competitiveness, and supporting compensation and benefit program changes related to business merger, acquisition, initial public offering and spin-off transactions.
Mr. Scott also has experience working with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, and his clients include both larger private and publicly traded companies.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Scott was a Director in the Executive Compensation business with Willis Towers Watson.
Mr. Scott has been a speaker at the American Bar Association, Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals, National Investor Relations Institute and National Association of Stock Plan Professionals.
Mr. Scott earned a law degree from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Brigham Young University.
