Mark Stott is a Managing Director in San Francisco with Alvarez & Marsal’s Corporate Performance Improvement practice. Mr. Stott focuses on improving operational efficiency, cost rationalization and customer experience improvement in growth, transformation and M&A contexts. In addition, he serves as the West Region Co-lead for the Merger Integration and Carve-out Services practice.

Over his 30+ year career, Mr. Stott has led initiatives to enact strategy and improve profitability and performance for companies in a variety of industries including high tech hardware and software, and healthcare.

He is comfortable leading in multiple contexts, including mergers and acquisitions and periods of significant change or transformation. Mr. Stott specializes in process improvement and cost reduction initiatives spanning both back office and operations settings, delivering double-digit margin improvements for many of his clients.

Before joining A&M, Mr. Stott worked in various roles with Hitachi Consulting, Arthur Andersen and Ameri-Forge. He served as Vice President of Strategy for Global Industrial Technologies and Director of Strategy with Motorola, leading numerous growth and efficiency initiatives.

Mr. Stott earned a bachelor's degree from Claremont McKenna College and a master's degree from Stanford University.
