Marc Swenson is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal in Chicago and specializes in helping clients improve the value and performance of their Information Technology resources.

With more than twenty years of management experience, Mr. Swenson has worked in a variety of industries including energy, financial services, retail, transportation, manufacturing and services.

Most recently, Mr. Swenson served as interim-CIO for an investor owned electric utility for nearly 2 years. During this period he performed an assessment of IT effectiveness and subsequently led the redesign of the IT organization, created IT governance policies and processes, and led development of a multi-year application roadmap. He subsequently outsourced infrastructure and network services to a 3rd party service provider and directed efforts to replace existing HR systems with a cloud based solution of Workday, Jobvite and Cornerstone.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr.Swenson served clients for EY, PwC and served as CIO for the real estate development group of Coldwelll Banker where he led the start-up of the IT organization.

Mr. Swenson earned a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Lake Forest College and attended the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.​
