With more than 30 years of experience, Mr. Hirsh has served as an interim officer, as well as an adviser, to large and mid-size companies, and has served as a member of the Board of Directors, including Chairman, for companies to help guide them to maximize value and achieve their objectives. Mr. Hirsh has operational and financial expertise, and M&A experience through his interim officer, advisory and Board assignments.
Mr. Hirsh has assisted companies in a wide range of industries, including real estate and construction, financial services, business services, building products manufacturing and distribution, chemicals, construction and engineering, furniture, transportation and trucking, retail, real estate, textiles, services, steel, mining, power generation and technology. Some of his clients have included, Arcapita Bank, Capmark Financial, Security National, United Companies, Keller Financial, Longview Power, Aquilex, Risk Management Alternatives, Georgia Gulf Corporation, Comcar Industries, J. A. Jones, Standard Furniture, Coastal Concrete and AMES Taping & Tools. Mr. Hirsh additionally has served as an active board member and Chairman for The Identity Group and Deep Rock Water Company, working with management to develop and implement financial and operational improvement plans to maximize and realize value for the investors, and serves on the Boards of Medical Staffing Network and Premier Care. Mr. Hirsh has been on the Board of Advisors for Comcar Industries since 2002.
Mr. Hirsh has extensive experience in real estate and financial services through his work on the Arcapita Bank, Capmark Financial, Security National, United Companies and Keller Financial assignments.
Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Mr. Hirsh spent 11 years in Atlanta in the Financial Advisory Practice of a Big Five firm, where he served as a partner. Mr. Hirsh also spent part of his career in the corporate finance department of Bankers Trust Company, providing merger and acquisition advisory services and other investment banking services for clients in the Southeastern U.S.
Mr. Hirsh earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida. He is a Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
