Mr. Richter’s primary areas of concentration focus on supporting business plan reviews, liquidity planning and stakeholder management. He has expertise in independent business reviews (e.g. IDW S6) and is a user of “Schutzschirmverfahren” under German ESUG insolvency law.
Mr. Richter handles distressed debt M&A transactions on the sell-side and has served as an interim-CFO & CRO in bank-driven restructuring cases including those involving mid-cap companies in manufacturing, automotive, recycling and services. He has worked with clients across a range of industries including, manufacturing, construction, automotive suppliers, recycling, IT and other sectors.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Richter spent more than 10 years working for a German turnaround management boutique with a focus on family owned companies, where he most recently served as Member of the Executive Board, Partner and Head of the Competence Center, Corporate Restructuring. For a large number of restructuring projects, he was responsible for the preparation of the restructuring program, including the expert opinions in accordance with IDW S6. In most cases, he was also responsible for the implementation of the restructuring program, serving as acting CRO or CTO.
Mr. Richter started his professional career at CSC Ploenzke working in business development and at Mummert & Partner in the Management Consulting unit. Later, he joined the accounting firm Deloitte & Touche in the Corporate Restructuring service line.
Mr. Richter earned a master’s degree in business informatica from the University of Cooperative Education in Dresden. He also earned an MBA of the WFI - Ingolstadt School of Managemet of the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt in cooperation with the Tongji University Shanghai. A German national, Mr. Richter is fluent in German and English.
