At A&M, Ms. Bennett has focused on providing program management for complex initiatives at foundations and on conducting organizational assessments and designing roadmaps for both for-profit and nonprofit clients. Most recently, Ms. Bennett has led a team of multiple vendors in researching, designing, and developing an assessment tool for helping higher education institutions improve their rates of credential completion.
Ms. Bennett ‘s other projects at A&M have spanned a wide range of program management, operations and strategy. She supported a global health team in defining the strategy implementation roadmap for $150 million of planned investments and initiated internal rhythm of business processes needed to deliver the strategy. Prior to that, Ms. Bennett oversaw a team engaged to create a set of analytical tools designed to assist school districts in whole system redesign efforts. This project included conducting assessments of multiple urban school districts and developing implementation plans to support their redesign strategies. Ms. Bennett’s other notable engagements at A&M include designing and managing the business operations of an Ed Tech start-up funded by two large foundations, including managing the project budget, financial reporting, and vendor contracts.
Before A&M, Ms. Bennett worked in the capital markets group of Thornburg Mortgage in Santa Fe, NM, where she served as a financial analyst and commercial paper trader. She managed the trading and operations of Thornburg’s $10 billion asset-backed commercial paper conduit, and later designed and deployed a SQL database for managing their $40 billion securities portfolio. She also coordinated large mortgage securitizations, including managing the due diligence, validating data accuracy and streamlining day-to-day data management processes.
Ms. Bennett earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from St. John’s College, a second bachelor’s degree in political science from New York University, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington. She holds a CFA charter from the CFA Institute and has obtained PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
