Kate Donaldson is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement in London. Ms. Donaldson brings more than 25 years of professional experience driving profitable top-line growth for organizations in a wide variety of industries. Ms. Donaldson brings significant expertise in the areas of Salesforce effectiveness, pricing, complex growth strategy and organizational design.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Donaldson spent over three years with AlixPartners, where she was head of the Top Line Growth practice in EMEA. Prior to AlixPartners, Ms. Donaldson was a Managing Director at Blue Ridge Partners Consulting, specializing in top-line growth.

Ms. Donaldson directed revenue / margin enhancement for a $17 billion biosciences company through identification of customer penetration, pricing yield, cross-sell and new product development process-improvement opportunities.

She led comprehensive sales effectiveness assessment and implementation plan development effort for a new portfolio company of a global PE firm involved in classroom and virtual corporate training. Ms. Donaldson identified go-to-market, sales process and cadence, and incentive opportunities.

She assumed the interim VP of Sales Operations for a PE-backed company in shipping management. Ms. Donaldson built upgraded sales pipeline management system, upgraded Salesforce tools, customer satisfaction tracking and revised proposal process to improve overall sales effectiveness.

Additionally, she led pricing and promotions strategy development for global luxury travel retailer in Asia. Developed pricing strategy and price setting approach, resulting in $40 million in gross margin uplift.

Ms. Donaldson also directed revenue enhancement effort for large U.K. Commercial Insurance provider, with £3.1 billion in GWP. There, she developed sales effectiveness strategies for both underwriting and broking divisions that improved quote, conversion and customer retention rates, and increased GWP in test markets by 356 percent in three months

Prior to consulting, Ms. Donaldson was a partner at a PE firm in charge of sales and marketing assistance for portfolio companies. Prior to her time in private-equity, she was Head of New Products at a division of Bristol Myers Squibb.

Ms. Donaldson earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin's Plan II Honours Programme and earned an MBA from Northwestern University's J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
