She brings more than 30 years of hospital and health system experience. Her career spans the for-profit, not-for-profit and academic sectors in senior level positions.
Ms. Davis’s primary areas of focus are operational assessment, development of integrated ambulatory centers, academic physician practice plans, physician practice performance improvement, clinical care, performance improvement, strategic planning, revenue cycle analysis, resources allocation and leadership development.
Most recently, Ms. Davis served as interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Indian River Medical Center, an acute care organization, where she performed a complete organizational turnaround in preparation for partnership with Cleveland Clinic. Turnaround metrics include net operating income, patient and staff engagement, and overall quality / safety metrics. She also led revenue cycle enhancements projects for physician practices identifying opportunities to improve process flow and collections.
Additionally, Ms. Davis served as Senior Executive for American Strategic Healthcare Management, an organization focusing on strategic planning and development, operations, financial feasibility and restructuring of healthcare organizations. She was instrumental in developing the strategy and opening diagnostic imaging centers in Saudi Arabia. She also served as Advisor to a large privately-held assisted living company, where she assessed the operational stability of the facilities, monitoring critical life-safety issues and advising on necessary capital expenditures for select facilities.
Ms. Davis also served as President and COO of the Imaging division of HealthSouth, where she led the implementation of operational improvements through cost reductions, contracting and closures of underperforming assets, and directed capital investment projects in addition to leading the divestiture activities for the division. Ms. Davis also served as the CEO of the Metro West Hospital, an acute care facility with 365-licensed beds. She successfully managed a 75-person physician group practice and was responsible for the recruitment of more than 30 physicians and new service development.
Ms. Davis earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing and an MHA from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and has held multiple Board of Director positions in for-profit and nonprofit community service organizations.
